Krystof was born 1980 in Stuttgart, Germany. After school and 2 years of work experience in film production companies and on countless film sets he began to study feature film directing at the Filmakademy Baden-Württemberg in 2003. In 2007 he was awarded the Baden-Württemberg Grant to take part in the “Hollywood Workshop” at the UCLA Extension in Los Angeles. His science-fiction short film REVERENCE (org. DAS LEUCHTEN) (2007) and his diploma film LYS (2010) won the Caligari-Sponsorhip Award and were shown on festivals in Germany and around the world.

Since his diploma in 2009 he works as a freelance director, writer and editor. In addition to the development of several screenplays he shot the crowd funding financed Teaser for the post-apocalyptic action-series LAND OF GIANTS, which he develops for the international market as Co-Creator with the Berlin based Roundhousefilm GmbH. With the same company he developed and shot the independent action-thriller IMMIGRATION GAME, his debut feature length film, finished in 2016.

Furthermore Krystof was founding member of the NEW GERMAN GENREFILM and from 2013 on co-organizer and head of programming of the yearly GENRENALE, the first film festival dedicated exclusively to German genre films.
